Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.

ESN UNIZA is a part of ESN Slovakia, nestled in north-western Slovakia around 200 kilometres distanced from the capital Bratislava in town Žilina.
Our student organisation started its existence in April 2008.  We are here to help students who are coming to Žilina as a part of their international study abroad. Our aim is to ensure that International Exchange students receive the warmest welcome and feel integrated in our community. We organise events and parties throughout the year so that you can get to know other Exchange students, discover Žilina region and the rest of Slovakia, as well as experience some Slovak traditions.

We operate within the University of Žilina (UNIZA) in Žilina, that was established as the Railway College on 1st September 1953 by the separation from the Czech Technical University in Prague. It has gone through numerous changes during its history. Current name was obtained in 1996.
