Bus and trolley bus
Žilina has a relatively efficient public transport system that includes buses and trolley buses with a satisfactory coverage area and time density around the clock. A single fare and student seasonal tickets are sold at a reasonable price. Students are required to have a valid Slovak student card if they want to buy a discount student ticket. The bus tickets can be bought at a vending machine at the bus stop, in the news stand or with the driver.
